Patricia Ann McColpin Samples, 65, passed away Tuesday, 6/21/17, in the memory care unit of Harbour Manor nursing home in Noblesville, IN. Born in Dayton, OH, Pat was raised for most of her life in Clearwater, FL. She was an alumni of Milligan College (TN), and Purdue University, where she completed her training as a registered nurse; she studied for her Masters in Counseling at the University of Cincinnati. She was also a certified masseuse and owner of The Master’s Hands massage studio in Fishers, IN. She had been a very active member of East 91st Street Christian Church with a particular passion for ministry to single moms.
Pat was the widow of Dr. A. Dain Samples who passed away in 1993. They spent most of their years together in the San Fransisco Bay area; she was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris McColpin of Clearwater. Pat is survived by her twin sons, Galen of Fishers, IN and Ehren (Kierstyn) of Terre Haute, IN; sisters Terry Craft (Dave) of Largo, FL and Anita Lenas (Tom) of Interlachen, FL; her in-laws, John C. and Joyce Samples of Fishers, IN; and brother-in-law, John W Samples (Bobbi) of Noblesville.
Reflecting on their mother, Pat’s boys wrote, “She was a strong woman who loved us very much and did everything in her power to give us the best life possible; we will always be grateful for the time we had with her and am proud that she is my mom.”
Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 2 at East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, with calling from 4-6 P.M, just before the service. John C. Samples will officiate, with David Faust bringing the message.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to The Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org), or East 91st Christian Church (www.east91st.org), or The Christian HolyLand Foundation (www.CHLF.org).

I have many memories, of having coffee, of time spent with you, Aunt Patty and Uncle Dain in California, and memories of you both here in Florida. Special memory of the day you both adopted your twin boys, that was an incredible day. With lots of love and saddness, I pray heaven is happy to have you join them. Hugs, your niece, Barbi.

So sad and sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. My condolences to Ehren and Galen and John and Joyce. I can only hope that she and Dain are once again united.

I had the privilege of knowing Pat over the past few years at Harbour Manor where my parents also resided. Pat always greeted me with such love and beautiful smiles.

I was away when Pat went HOME. I am sad that I wasn’t able to join you as you honored her life. I look forward to seeing her again one day. I’m sure my daddy was among the crowd greeting her on her arrival.

May God bless you with peace and comfort.
